Profile Settings
The Settings page allows you to update your contact information, configure notification triggers, and establish your recurring weekly availability schedule.
Where to find it: Navigation Menu → Settings
1. Personal Profile
Update your account profile attributes in this tab:
- Profile Picture: Upload an avatar picture visible to students, parents, and school managers.
- Contact Details: Telephone number and email address (used for critical system notifications).
- Password: Change your account login password.
2. Subject Specializations
This section lists the topics, languages, or courses you are certified to teach at this institution (e.g., High School Mathematics, English Junior A).
These qualifications directly determine which Course Templates school managers can assign to you. If a course template does not match your registered specializations list, the administrator will be blocked from selecting you as the teacher when building new groups. Contact administration to request specialization additions.
3. Weekly Availability Template
Configure your default repeating weekly availability template for class scheduling:
- How it works: An interactive weekly schedule grid (Monday - Sunday) lets you click-drag to block off unavailable hours.
- Availability vs Calendar Overrides:
- Weekly Template (here): Defines your permanent repeating weekly pattern (e.g., "I am unavailable every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM").
- Calendar Exclusions (on the Calendar page): Defines one-off scheduling exceptions for a single day (e.g., "I am unavailable specifically on Friday, July 4th").
4. Notification Preferences
Where to find it: Settings → Notifications tab
Choose which topics you want to receive. Each topic shows the available channels (Email, SMS, Push, In-app) according to institution policy.
| Topic | Typical coverage |
|---|---|
| Assignments | Student submissions, deadlines, and assignment updates |
| Schedule | Schedule changes, cancellations, and reschedules |
| Announcements | School and class announcements |
| Materials | New study materials |
| Attendance / Grades | When enabled for teachers by the school |
| Staff Operations | Internal staff notifications |
| Account | Account security and login |
How it works
- Turn each topic on or off.
- Topics marked Locked are mandatory — you cannot disable them.
- If the Grades topic appears, you can also choose Critical / Periodic / Rolling grade types.
- In the Language card, choose Greek or English for notifications and the UI. (App language may also be set under the Preferences tab, if present.)
- Click Save Preferences or Reset to Defaults.
If push notifications are blocked in your browser, a warning appears — enable them in your browser settings.
Bell and inbox
The header bell shows recent unread notifications. View all opens the inbox (All / Unread / Read / Pinned).
5. Report a problem
At the bottom of the sidebar, click Report bug (shortcut Cmd+Shift+B on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows). Describe what went wrong; a screenshot is attached automatically. Choose a category, optionally add images, and click Send report.
