Grades & Progress
The Grades page (Gradebook) is your personal academic statement. From this screen, you can review your cumulative average for each course, view detailed score breakdowns for individual assignments, and read teacher feedback.
Where to find it: Navigation Menu → Grades (or /student/gradebook)
1. Academic Dashboard Metrics
Key performance figures are summarized at the top of the page:
- Cumulative GPA: Your overall grade point average across all active courses.
- Top Performer: The course in which you hold your highest average score.
- Grade History Chart: A trend graph showing how your average score fluctuated throughout the academic year.
2. Detailed Course Breakdown
Below the stats dashboard, your courses are listed in expandable accordion cards. Clicking a course displays:
- Course Average: Your current grade for that specific class (e.g., 17.8 / 20).
- Assessments Log: Scores grouped by category (Exams, Quizzes, Homework, Oral/Participation).
- Weight Strategy: The percentage weight (%) each category contributes toward the final class average (e.g., Exams account for 50%, Homework for 30%, and Class Participation for 20%).
3. Why is my grade not visible?
Visibility Thresholds for Student Grades
If you recently took an exam or submitted homework but do not see your grade listed yet:
- The teacher has saved the grades in "Draft" status.
- Teachers hold scores as drafts while reviewing other student submissions so they can release all grades simultaneously.
- Scores will only appear on your student dashboard once the teacher changes the status to "Published".
4. Teacher Comments & Feedback
Grades often include detailed feedback text:
- Look for a message balloon icon next to a recorded score. Click it to read the teacher's feedback comments.
- Teachers use these comments to explain errors, clarify grade rubrics, or suggest study focuses for upcoming exams.
