Group Management (Classes)

The Groups (Classes) page is the central hub for managing your educational institution's active classes. Here, you can monitor which teacher is assigned to which group, class schedules, classroom allocations, and seating capacity utilization.

The group management page contains the following sections:

Main Actions

Create a New Group

The "New Group" button launches a 4-step wizard:

  1. Course Selection: Choose the curriculum template on which this class group is based.
  2. Schedule & Room: Define weekly teaching slots and select an available classroom.
  3. Assign Teacher: Appoint a teacher based on their availability profile.
  4. Enroll Students: Select and register student profiles into the new group.
Tip

During Step 3 (Assign Teacher), the system will automatically alert you if the selected teacher has a schedule conflict or is currently overloaded.


Class Capacity

Each group's capacity level is calculated dynamically by comparing the number of enrolled students against the classroom size or pedagogical limit:

Capacity StateBadge ColorMeaning
HealthyGreenThe group has an optimal number of students (available open seats).
WarningOrangeThe group is approaching its maximum student limit.
OverloadedRedEnrolled students exceed safety or pedagogical capacity limits.

Groups Table

The table displays the following columns:

  1. Group Name: The code or name of the class (e.g., English B2 - Class A).
  2. Teacher: The assigned educator for the group.
  3. Students: Enrolled student count against maximum capacity (e.g., 7/10).
  4. Schedule: Weekly class days and times (e.g., Monday & Wednesday 16:00 - 17:30).
  5. Room: The physical or virtual classroom assigned.
  6. Capacity: A color-coded status badge indicating occupancy level (Green, Orange, Red).
  7. Actions: Links to view group details, modify the schedule, or delete.
Note

When a group status becomes "Overloaded", a warning banner is shown on the admin Dashboard so you can quickly relocate students or assign a larger room.
